It looks like Team Xbox figured out the meaning of OrigenXbox360.com. By zooming in on the tree branch near the hole, they revealed a latin phrase, and with the help of a clever reader, they have formed a pretty strong argument that the OrigenXbox360.com site is advertising the September 27 announcement of HALO 3, which has been long-rumored to coincide with the release of the PlayStation 3. Oh, and there\'s another bunny and some more apples on the tree.

It\'s a good week when two anticipated games come out side-by-side. And it\'s a nice rounded release too. Radiata Stories takes up the RPG end and R6: Lockdown is at the FPS end...everyone\'s happy! Wait, we\'re not just happy, we\'re ir-radiata-ing rainbows of joy that these two anticipated titles are finally here!
game: Gears of War
news | 09/07/05 | Shawn Rider

game: Project Gotham Racing 3
news | 09/07/05 | Aaron Stanton
Bizarre Creations has released a panoramic 3-D screenshot of Project Gotham Racing 3 for the Xbox 360. The flash-based screenshot allows you to fly around a McLaren F1 LM to see the car from all sides, and experience a number of the graphical features Bizarre Creations is so excited about, like the blurring effect that simulates the physics of an actual camera. Note the way the light reflects off the windshield, and produces an aurora when in just the right angle from the front-left of the car. The amount of detail that has gone into this game is amazing. Check it out.
game: Serious Sam II
news | 09/06/05 | Aaron Stanton
It\'s only about a month until Serious Sam II appears on the scene, and the screens are looking sweet. Serious Sam II is the second in a series of wacky first person shooters made famous by its complete disregard for any sense of reality. As Sam Stone, you\'ll face hundreds of enemies per level, fire thousands of bullets, and battle everything from stereotypical gothic chicks to evil stockbrokers. Unlike many recent FPS titles, which are dark, gloomy, and slow paced, Serious Sam II promises to keep things light and happy... well... funny, at least.
game: Halo 2
news | 09/04/05 | Shawn Rider
Bungie has made a clever t-shirt that it is selling to help out victims of Hurricane Katrina. It\'s cool because not only are they donating $15 for every $20 shirt sold directly and immediately to the American Red Cross, but the shirt is actually a clever Halo \"flood\" joke. And it\'s tasteful. Bravo Bungie.

Our man Aaron addresses the issue of whether or not to buy an Xbox 360 with a hard drive or without. If you are not a current Xbox owner, or if you don\'t care much about Xbox Live and playing old Xbox games, then you definitely need to check out Aaron\'s analysis here.

news | 09/03/05 | Shawn Rider
Midway has sent us some screens from LA Rush, an arcade racer featuring loads of real-world vehicles and licenses from MTV\'s Pimp My Ride. That bunny is on the move again over at OrigenXbox360.com; looks like a couple more apples have grown, too. Game Daily is reporting that a November 25 release date for Xbox 360 is being rumored by some retail outlets. And it looks like EB Games and GameStop have unveiled thir price packages for Xbox Live.

We finish out with a hands-on preview of Fable: The Lost Chapters, due in September for PC and later this Fall for Xbox.
news | 08/31/05 | Aaron Stanton
Probably the people most passionate about whether or not the Xbox 360 has a hard drive are system modders, who can possibly use the hard drive for everything from stealing games (bad) to running homebrew software (goodish). Now, the makers of the SmartXX mod chip for the Xbox have gotten hold of a number of Xbox 360 development kits. They\'ve opened the system and photographed the insides, which is a pretty good indication that the modding community is already at work on modding the next generation game consoles.
game: Dynasty Warriors 5
news | 08/30/05 | Shawn Rider
Dynasty Warriors 5 comes out on September 13. Featuring 48 playable characters and some new gameplay elements, this could be a good one for when killing a dozen or two enemies in an FPS isn\'t enough, and only slaughtering a virtual army of thousands can really take the edge off.
game: Blitz: The League
news | 08/30/05 | Shawn Rider
Proving that there\'s life before, during, and (hopefully) after megalomaniacal exclusive deals, Midway drops a handful of screens from Blitz: The League. The venerable franchise has a whole new life now that EA has exclusive rights to NFL licensing. Check out these highly irreverent images for further proof.
