game: Dynasty Warriors 5
news | 08/30/05 | Shawn Rider
Dynasty Warriors 5 comes out on September 13. Featuring 48 playable characters and some new gameplay elements, this could be a good one for when killing a dozen or two enemies in an FPS isn\'t enough, and only slaughtering a virtual army of thousands can really take the edge off.
game: Everquest II
review | 12/14/04 | Eric Bodrero
With quality competition from games like City of Heroes and World of Warcraft, all arriving in the last year to vie for our monthly subscription dollars, the makers of EverQuest have a much tougher battlefield before them than they did five years ago when the series first helped define the genre. How good of an experience does EverQuest II offer? Is it worth your time in a world awash with MMOGs? Make sure you read Eric's review to find out.
game: Shadow Hearts: Covenant
review | 11/09/04 | Eric Qualls
With no major SquareEnix releases this holiday season for PS2, RPG gamers are free to open their arms and embrace the rest of the genre. Midway's Shadow Hearts: Covenant fills the void between Final Fantasies quite nicely and might make you forget all about spikey haired heroes or heroines in short shorts. Read all about it here.

game: Prisoner of War
review | 10/16/02 | Aaron Stanton
Codemasters brings us a really innovative WWII-themed title. Prisoner of War puts you in the role of a downed American fighter pilot, and it ain\'t all Hogan\'s Heroes. You\'ll sneak around, infiltrate, steal and escape, but you won\'t fire a shot from a weapon. Plus, you\'ll learn derogatory terms for Germans you never knew existed. Click.
interview | 07/18/02 | Aaron Stanton
Aaron Stanton was lucky enough to get some quality time with one of the legendary figures of gaming. Known for his eccentric qualities, including adventure vacations and his alter ego Lord British, as much as for his foundational role in creating Ultima Online and continuing participation in MMO projects like Lineage, City of Heroes, and Tabla Rasa (working title), Richard Garriott is THE man right about now. With MMORPGs at an all-time popularity high, and many new titles entering the fray, Garriott was kind enough to chat about his projects, game design, why consoles won\'t succeed online, and much more. Developed under the tutelage of online gaming giant Richard Garriot, NCSoft\'s latest endeavour, City of Heroes, is a MMORPG with a twist. Rather than the typical fantasy setting, you get to create your own superhero and vanquish evil. Tons of customization options and a cool gameplay setup should make this a hit. Click here.
