Star Wars: The Clone Wars Review (GC)
game: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
review | 12/01/02 | Jason Frank
LucasArts puts you in the last battle of Episode II and takes you into the ensuing conflict with Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Sure, it plays a lot like Starfighter, Rogue Squadron, and every other Star Wars battle oriented game, but the scale of these engagements is enough to drop your jaw once again, as well as the framerate on your \'Cube. Pro Rally 2002 Review
game: Pro Rally 2002
review | 11/28/02 | Matt James
Welcome the latest addition to the GF! staff, Matt James, who takes Ubi Soft\'s latest rally racer for a spin. Pro Rally 2002 is the first game of its type for the Gamecube, but it\'s definitely not a perfect title, especially if you\'re looking for thumb-numbing realism.

Acclaim Responds to Criticism of BMX XXX
game: BMX XXX
news | 10/17/02 | Shawn Rider
Acclaim has responded to the recent controversy surrounding the release of BMX XXX, their latest extreme sports game targeted to a mature audience. The company makes some good points about unfairly characterizing videogames as exclusively kids\' stuff. Also noteworthy in their statement is the lack of any mention of toning down the PS2 version, as was previously rumored. Click here.

game: Super Mario Sunshine
review | 09/23/02 | Jason Frank
If you don\'t know that Super Mario Sunshine is out now, then you\'ve been living under a rock. This game is being plugged everywhere, and with good reason. It\'s the first Mario adventure since Mario 64, and we think it is the proverbial cat\'s pajamas. Click here for the review.

THQ brings Tetris Worlds to the Gamecube and Xbox, and what can we say? It\'s pretty much just like Tetris Worlds for PlayStation 2, and the game itself is basically a collection of all the previous Tetris titles. Click here for the Gamecube version. Click here for the Xbox version.

review | 08/20/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Nintendo and Silicon Knights have redefined the 3D action horror genre previously dominated by the Resident Evil series. Eternal Darkness: Sanity\'s Requiem is a true evolution of the genre and gaming in general. Jeff\'s take on the game includes a great exploration of the ways Eternal Darkness succeeds and fails at pushing the limits of what a game can be. Click here for the review.

Lost Kingdoms Review (GC)
game: Lost Kingdoms
review | 07/26/02 | Matt Baldwin
The Gamecube has been devoid of RPGs, and that makes many gamers sad. Fortunately, Activision has stepped in with Lost Kingdoms, a strange little RPG that uses a collectible card game battle system. Sound strange? It is. But it\'s kind of fun, too. Click here for more.

Star Fox Adventures Preview (GC)
game: Star Fox Adventures
review | 07/01/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
The high-flying, dogfighting, cuddly, fuzzy savior of the galaxy is back, and this time on a planet of dinosaurs. Star Fox Adventures has a steamy and sordid past -- brief fling with the N64, merged with a dinosaur game -- but from what we\'ve seen the finished product looks like it just might work. Lube up that Arwing. Click here.

Gladius Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC)
game: Gladius
preview | 07/01/02 | Shawn Rider
LucasArts decided to take a fantasy-oriented route with Gladius, which pits you against gladiators in arenas from Rome to Hades, but the liberties they\'ve taken should only disappoint those Classics majors and Roman Empire buffs. The rest of us might enjoy hurling fireballs at our foes. In an RPG-style strategy type game. Sounds fun.
