Microsoft isn\'t one to be left behind in the wake of Nintendo\'s announcement of the Revolution\'s controller. They might not be rolling out a redesigned input device, but it doesn\'t mean they aren\'t being revolutionary. What\'s Microsoft\'s revolution? It\'s Live. Their inclusion of the Live service in every Xbox 360 sold makes it clear that they consider the gaming community itself to be the revolutionary aspect of gaming. Take a moment to read about Microsoft\'s approach to the game industry.

Earth 2160 is the sequel to the cult hit Earth series, developed by Reality Pump Games. Midway has picked it up, and will publish the title in the US in November for PC. game: Tactica Online
news | 09/21/05 | Aaron Stanton
One of the more interesting items shown at E3 2005 was an early build of Tactica Online. This massively multi-player title separates itself from the dozens of other online games in a number of ways, not the least of which is that it\'s a turn-based strategy game in the likes of Fallout, Jagged Alliance, or X-Com. From gameplay to business strategy (Tactica won\'t charge monthly fees) Tactica Online is trying to be something different. We\'ve picked up a few screenshots of an early build, and it\'s looking pretty interesting.
game: Rainbow Six: Lockdown
review | 09/13/05 | Aaron Stanton
Rainbow Six is a game franchise that we really cherish here at GamesFirst, so when Lockdown came out with horrible flaws we couldn\'t help but feel disappointed. Truth is, the game\'s entire AI system is just plain stupid. We didn\'t think you\'d believe us if we just showed you pictures and wrote about being able to withstand 7.5 minutes of weapon fire, so we\'ve included video clips of our character being all immortal and impervious to bullets. Funny thing; you actually die more if you take cover. Check it out.

Publisher 2K Games decided to rain on our parade today and, lucky for us, the rain is made up of screen shots from the upcoming Sid Meier game Civilization IV! Focus today is on the civics system that allow for a dynamic government.

news | 09/07/05 | Aaron Stanton
What do you get when you cross a big-time strategy warfare game with the classic One Million Years BC(1967), starring Raquel Welch? The answer is apparently somewhere close to ParaWorld, a new RTS for PC from German publisher, Sunflowers. Get an eyefull of these screens and you\'ll easily understand why we\'re stoked to get some hot Dino action for ourselves.
game: Savage 2: A Tortured Soul
news | 09/01/05 | Chris Martin
S2 Games is probably beaming with pride, because their new game Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is looking absolutely fantastic. It\'s only just announced, but the screenshots make it hard to believe it\'s in the same series as the original. For everything Savage, you can\'t miss this article.

game: Supreme Ruler 2010
review | 08/04/05 | Blaine Krumpe
Graphics are not everything. In fact, in an ideal world, gameplay would trump graphics every time. Find an old NES at a pawn shop and go through some of the classics, and you'll find that some of the older games are still fantastic, even if they do look like they were made in the 1980s. Sometimes, modern games that deserve notice don't get them because of a little less polish in the eye candy department. Supreme Ruler 2010 might not be the best looking game in the world, but it's certainly worth playing. Take a look at our review if you're a fan of strategy games.

Game strategies are good; learning all the button combinations will certainly put you ahead in most games. Sometimes, though, you die no matter how carefully you follow a strategy guide's advice, and then it's time for some bigger guns. When practice lets you down, don't be afraid to pick up a cheat or two and float past that tough boss with ease. Here's a few tips to help you get off the ground.

game: Full Spectrum Warrior
review | 06/01/05 | George Holomshek
Full Spectrum Warrior found a home on the PS2 substantially later than it did on either the Xbox or the PC. This strategic military game puts you in control of two squads of fighters battling terrorists is a foreign land. How well has the gameplay held up since we first saw it on the Xbox? Check out our review to find out exactly what you can expect to find in this solid title.

game: E3 2005: Civilization IV
preview | 05/24/05 | Blaine Krumpe
There were some dissapointments down at E3 this year, what with lack of any real gameplay footage from a number of hyped games. Civilization 4, the hotly anticipated title from strategy master Civ Meier, fell into that category, sadly. Blaine was able to drudge up some info.
