Recently on Xbox Live the Blue Dragon demo and Ace Combat 6 have been released for download (I actually downloaded it on Saturday, so it\'s been out all weekend).
I\'ve been playing the Blue Dragon demo (which lets you go through two small parts of the game for 1 hour each--yowza!) and it\'s pretty damn impressive. The character models look amazing and the battle system is extremely intuitive. The text is a little hard to read on a standard definition tv, but it\'s nowhere near as bad as Dead Rising. Thankfully, that annoying voice that tells you when you kill someone (\"defeated!\") or when you get an item (\"item!\") has been seriously tuned down from the Japanese release--thank the gods!
I haven\'t checked out the Ace Combat 6 Demo yet, but I\'ll have some impressions of that soon.
Also available are The BIGS, the arcade baseball game that has gotten some pretty good scores (~8) across the board (although I\'m not sure what this baseball thing
is), the next movie to film adaptation Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which has been getting about 7s (the movie was pretty good, too, IMO), and the driving action/film game Stuntman: Ignition, which
Tycho says is pretty good.
Anyway, it\'s just a lot of
stuff, so it might be necessitous to ignore your brain when it says you have other things to do, like eat or bathe, and just enjoy yourself for the day. That\'s what I
intend to do, of course, when I finally get home, into my red speckled couch, and get that white controller in my hand.
