Once the reveared developers of Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Afterburner, Space Harrier (the list goes on) are hard at work bringing their \"light gun shooter\" Ghost Squad to the Nintendo Wii. Which means it\'s a \"Wii gun shooter\" or a \"light Wii shooter\" or a \"Wiimote shooter.\" Whatever you call it, it\'s very much in Wii vein with 4-player co-op. Sure, the game has been out in arcades since 2004, but better late than never, I always say.

Inaccurate stories are often hard to kill after they\'ve seen some publicity. When Sony sent out a press release on January 8th claiming that the Sixaxis controller had won an Emmy for technical innovation, many people were understandably upset. Why had the Sixaxis won and not the Nintendo Wii? Then, 1UP.com reported that the Wiimote had also won an Emmy. In truth, neither won. Both Sony and Nintendo did win awards, but both won for past contributions, not for the Wii or the PS3. Nintendo won for the D-Pad. Sony won for the Dual Shock.

Nintendo has finally given us concrete pricing and release date details for the Nintendo Wii. The Wii will be available on November 19th, 2006 in a single bundle for $249.99. The bundle will include one white Wii console, one nunchuk and Wiimote, one sensor bar, cords, and a copy of Nintendo Wii Sports. The inclusion of the extra game is an unexpected surprise. As reported by IGN, in a recent interveiw with Japan\'s monthly Nintendo Dream magazine, legendary game creator Shigeru Miyamoto unveiled that Nintendo has made some serious changes to the control scheme of the Wii version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
