game: Too Human
preview | 07/18/08 | Chris Martin
This terribly cold, strenuous year has entered it's warming period. Twentysomethings venture to the park for volleyball or soccer. Some throw frisbees or discs, if you prefer the neutral term. Also, the demo for Too Human has hit Live Marketplace. We suggest you go download it and play it. It's a game with as much controversy as variety, as little tact as subtlety.
game: God of War: Chains of Olympus
review | 03/31/08 | Shawn Rider
Everyone's favorite bloodthirsty Spartan is back, and, as usual, he's pissed. In this prequel to the other two God of War titles, you'll help Kratos save the planet from eternal darkness. God of War: Chains of Olympus delivers the same insane action and impeccable quality of the previous PlayStation 2 editions, and that is an accomplishment for a title with both a brand new developer (the capable Ready at Dawn) and a brand new console. This is the best reason so far to blow the dust off your PSP. Check out our review.
game: Titan Quest
review | 07/25/06 | George Holomshek
Titan Quest is a 3rd person action RPG that brings Diablo-style gameplay to Clash of the Titans-style content. The result is a bit brainless, but oozing with cool, especially if you're a fan of Harryhausen-esque skeleton battles and Greek mythology. Titan Quest does almost nothing new, but it does all of that old stuff really well. If you're a fan of the action RPG, or Medusas, Minotaurs and guys in leather skirts, then you should at least check out George's review.
game: Cult of Mithras
news | 02/06/06 | Shawn Rider
Slitherine Strategies recently hit GF! with the very respectable Legion Arena, a Roman-themed strategy war title with a shallow learning curve and some surprisingly good gameplay. Now, they are hard at work on Cult of Mithras, an expansion to Legion Arena that combines ancient history and ancient mythology. Now you'll pit Roman legions against armies of ghosts, shadow warriors, or fire demons, and fight for your gods as you battle your way to Elysium. Featuring enhanced graphics noticeably better than the original game, the latest screens from Cult of Mithras look great. Check them out here.
game: Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb
review | 09/26/03 | Eric Qualls
Good old Indy is back at it, this time on the PS2. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is a great action title for fans of the Indiana Jones mythology, but not necessarily as great for fans of innovative, invigorating action games. Too bad.
