Halo 3 ActionClix Preview
game: Halo 3 ActionClix
preview | 08/27/07 | Chris Martin
Halo 3 is just a month away and dammit if we\'re not shaking in our trousers for it. This year at the Penny-Arcade Expo we sat down with the kids over at Wizk!ds, creators of such table top games as Marvel and DC HeroClix. We got to sit down and play the Halo 3 Actionclix table top game and see what all the hubbub was about. And believe us: there was hubbub aplenty.

Penny-Arcade Gets Into the Game Making Buisness
news | 08/25/06 | Aaron Stanton
Only hours away from the start of the Penny-Arcade Exposition in Washington, Penny-Arcade has let slip a new project of theirs. The Penny-Arcade webcomic has partnered with Hothead Games to produce video games based on the characters of their popular online comic. The games are going to be designed for Windows, OSX, and Linux at first, with an aim to translate to the home console somewhere down the road. The games will be downloadable and episodic. Beyond that, the details have yet to arrive. Check out this report to read everything we know so far.

twoplayer comic: Saving Advent
comic | 07/10/05 | Aaron Stanton
Beyond Good and Evil was one of the greatest games of all time, and its death was a blow to the gaming community that knew it existed. What\'s more sad is that its poor sales ended the life of the two games that were supposed to follow, ending the story before it was really finished. Now there\'s Advent Rising. Great Story. Poor execution. Saving Advent is this week\'s twoplayer comic.

twoplayer comic: Warning! We Cause Damage!
comic | 06/12/05 | Aaron Stanton
Warning! We Cause Damage! is another twoplayer comic examining the oddities of the video game industry. Even the FBI Warnings at the front of DVDs and movies are sometimes played with for the entertainment of the audience; you have to wonder if Nintendo is ever tempted to do something similar?

twoplayer comic: A Little Bit of Spice
comic | 05/29/05 | Aaron Stanton
Resident Evil is famous for both its engaging gameplay and style, and its oddities. How is it that you can be literally gnawed on by an enemy who seems to think that you\'re lunch, and then be up and about again in a matter of moments simply because you squirted yourself with some sort of magical first aid spray? Makes you wonder what could possibly be in that stuff. Check out this week\'s twoplayer comic, [url=http://comics.gamesfirst.com/index.php?thisComic=14\">A Little Bit of Spice[/url].

twoplayer comic: Relief After a Long Day
comic | 05/22/05 | Aaron Stanton
There\'s nothing quite like the first night after you\'re home from E3. You sleep in your own bed for a the first time in what feels like a year, and you wake up clear headed and able to write coherently again. You immediately go back and fix all the mistakes in your articles that you made while writing madly on the E3 floor, and then sit down for some quality time with your computer (or significant other, depending on who you are). Wouldn\'t it be nice if you could get that boost in energy from a spray can, like Resident Evil\'s First Aid Spray? We thought so too in this week\'s twoplayer comic, Relief After a Long Day=.

twoplayer comic: One Last Line
comic | 05/21/05 | Aaron Stanton
E3 is done with, at least in terms of the show floor. The doors finally closed on an exhausted crowd at 4 in the afternoon on Friday, locking away all of those wonderful games for another year (those that are not releasing soon, at least). \"One Last Line,\" is the last of our E3 comics, and tomorrow we return to our regular color twoplayer. Writing about what we\'ve seen is now the only distraction we have to worry about here at GF. No more of this running around getting exercise; now we can really get to the coverage.

twoplayer comic: Booth Babes for All!
comic | 05/20/05 | Aaron Stanton
You can\'t have E3 without booth babes? at least, not in this day and age. While the number of booth babes has greatly diminished this year " possibly a good sign " there\'s no doubt that they are an imbedded part of the E3 experience. Check out today\'s E3 twoplayer, Booth Babes for All!\"

twoplayer comic: Too Ugly for E3
comic | 05/18/05 | Aaron Stanton
There\'s nothing better than waking up at 6 in the morning after a night out at a Midway party. Our GF crew is in the process of getting ready for the media breakfast served at the start of each E3. Today\'s E3 twoplayer comic, Too Ugly for E3, refers to the fact that I was the only person on the GamesFirst crew that didn\'t receive my media badge in time for the trip down. While it all worked out, I felt hurt and rejected. Why was I turned away? Twoplayer provided my answer.
