game: Pirates of the Burning Sea
preview | 12/05/07 | Jamie Gergen
It\'s 1720 A.D. and the seas of the Carribean are the new battlefront for the powers of Europe. Pirates, Privateers, and Free Traders cruise the waters in search of their fortunes, while Navy ships of the line keep as much order as one can with fleets of Pirates sailing their dark colors from the mast. Like pages from a Patrick O\'Brien novel, Pirates of the Burning Sea brings the life on the sea to your computer with fantastic success.
game: The Darkness

The Darkness is shaping up to be a must have game for not only fans of the Top Cow comic, but for fans of first person shooters. Blending supernatural elements and gunplay, The Darkness puts you in the shoes of Jackie Estacado, our resident anti-hero, as he seeks revenge on his father\'s murderer. The newest video is a montage of some new and old footage, and shows off the darkling powers and what makes them a force to be reckoned with.
game: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
review | 02/14/07 | Amanda Bateman
We probably don\'t even have to publish this review, because World of Warcraft is a game that carries its own legion of fans. The ever-popular World of Warcraft\'s first expansion, The Burning Crusade, is here, and WoW players will absorb it into the fold simply because it\'s more of what they already love: World of Warcraft. If you managed to pry yourself from the game, then don\'t get the expansion...because you might find it hard to walk away again. The powers that be have opened new doors to adventure, and it\'s hard to turn your back on that a second time.
game: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
news | 04/07/06 | Aaron Stanton
A post from Bethesda Softworks in the official Oblivion forums indicates that not only will the next downloadable mod for Elder Scrolls IV be a full quest, it will also be less expensive than the Horse Armor modification currently available. A quest called The Orrery is expected to be available within the next week, and will include a new location (the Imperial Orrery in the Arcane University), new rewards, and new powers that are based on the phases of the moon. The better content for the price will hopefully help lessen player concerns that Bethesda intends to offer minor modifications at high prices. Unlike individual items, a quest is something that might be worth paying for. Hopefully.
game: Tales of Legendia
preview | 01/30/06 | Amanda Bateman
Namco\'s Tales of Legendia, the newest edition to the Tales series, gives us a whole new spin on the term \'castaway\'. Tales of Legendia combines a classic fantasy roleplaying game with a unique battle system involving fighting game elements. Legendia has now officially \"gone gold,\" which means American gamers will be playing it in no time. Our own Amanda Bateman got the early scoop on Tales of Legendia in this preview.
game: Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath
review | 12/31/05 | George Holomshek
An interesting hybrid of real-time and turn-based strategy play, Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath does its best to set itself apart from the masses of other strategy games. Set in a hypothetical alternate history that posits the Cuban Missile Crisis led to catastrophic nuclear war, the game has a lot going for it: Optional missions, nuclear wastelands, several different campaigns based on different superpowers. There is a lot to like here, but can Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath stand out among the faceless masses of hardcore war games? George has the review.

game: E3 2005: X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
preview | 05/30/05 | George Holomshek
X-Men Legends was a popular title, and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse looks to be a significant improvement. New features and gameplay elements should satisfy both hardcore X-Men fans as well as the general gaming audience.
game: Second Sight
review | 02/23/05 | Chris Martin
It seems like a fundamental rule of thumb in video games: coma = amnesia and psychic powers. Few games execute the mystery and atmosphere of such creepy going-ons, though, as well as Free Radical's budget title Second Sight. It's atmospheric and story driven, and worth your money if you're looking for a game that will keep your interest. Read the full review to find out the details.

Dragon Ball Z fans will be more than happy to see Dragon Ball Z: Budokai arrive on the Gamecube, as it successfully powers its way into mediocrity, thus becoming the greatest Dragon Ball Z game in history. It's not for everybody, but if you love the characters you will love the game. Spark up your Power beam, prepare to get tossed through a mountain, and click right here.
game: Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
review | 06/28/02 | Jeremy Kauffman
Another installment in the Starfighter series, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter manages to make some good additions to the franchise but doesn\'t really make this one feel like an entirely new game. Sure, there are cool Force powers and new ships to fly, but it all feels very familiar. Thank goodness for the cooperative story mode. Click.
