The other day we posted about BioShock's new DLC, stating new plasmids and the ability to turn off vita-chambers. There's more, don't worry. We've got the details on the new plasmids, as well as the answer to "what the hell does Horizontal FOV actually do?" While 2K ponders a sequel to BioShock, we can, at least, enjoy the bliss that is the first, again, if we so desire, we and our brass balls.

Microsoft Game Studios seemed to have a slight misstep with Age of Empires III, a fun if not limited RTS that almost redeemed itself with the home city feature. Rise of Nations, another MGS production under the development of Big Head Games was a beakout hit and critically acclaimed. The sequel, Thrones and Patriots, proved that they weren't going to fall into the Sophomore curse. Now with Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, Big Head Studios has left the historic battleground for one of a new flavor - that of the fantastic. But while the gameplay favors variety, technical problems and some amateur voice acting hinder an otherwise spirited game.

Castlevania debuted on the Nintendo DS in near perfect form in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. The Konami release is still one of the best games available on Nintendo's latest handheld system. Now, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is gearing for another round of Dracula hunting, including a form of Co-op play and a new dual character system that encourages you to switch between characters as you play. While there are still a lot of unanswered questions about how the game will be balanced, the Castlevania sequel is certainly looking strong enough to capture our attention. The light-gun style genre might be set for a comeback in the near future. Nintendo is pressing new and unusual styles of interaction with the Wii, and shooting games reminiscent of the NES light zapper are sure to be a part of that. Not to be outdone, Namco was showing off the sequel to one of the most notable granddaddy's of the light-gun genre, Time Crisis 4. Traditionally released on the PS2, the Time Crisis series is looking true to form and has Rob excited after a bit of hands-on with the title at E3. Time Crisis keeps getting better with time.

Namco has been steadily rolling out the latest games for the "mobile arcade" of the future. At E3, the Pac-Man Arcade was in full effect: Besides a sequel to everybody's favorite game, Pac-Man, there are tons of new games to download that include both retro and cutting edge content. Word comes today from 2K Games that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the highly anticipated Xbox 360 RPG, will finally release on March 20, 2006. Gamers have been waiting for the sequel to Morrowind almost since the release of the original title, and many were disappointed when the game was pushed from the Xbox 360 launch lineup.
