game: Project Gotham Racing 4
gallery | 09/07/07 | Chris Martin
For a game to share a name with the hometown of a certain caped crusader and to become one of Microsoft's flagship series is kind of mindboggling. Project Gotham Racing 4 has become the place to go for mostly arcade, semi-simulation racing. It's a game about looking good while winning, and in the fourth iteration, Bizarre has added some features to make you look even better. This game is looking gorgeous, and we can't wait for it to get here. In the meanwhile, here are some pics from the new "Photo Mode" and some very sexy pics at that.
game: Just Cause
review | 10/25/06 | Sean Hilliard
You are a rugged, sexy operative ordered to take down a whole country, and no matter how many times you have to jump out of that airplane, hijack that automobile, or jump through the blades of a moving helicopter you're going to kill that guy, or save that guy, or find that item! In Just Cause, regime change is the goal, and it's up to you, your trusty parachute, and a grappling hook to revolutionize a whole South American state. But before you go getting all hopped up on your School of the Americas delusions of grandeur, be sure to check Sean's review. Otherwise, don't blame us for the harsh realization that even parachutes can't make repetitive mission-based infiltration worth playing...
game: The Darkness
preview | 07/28/06 | Monica Hafer
For all of you comic book fans, a dark tale of sex and violence awaits in the form of the game, The Darkness. Based on the story of the anti-hero Jackie Estacado, this game is an FPS you won't want to miss that's slated for release in 2007 on the XBox 360 and PS3. Our correspondent Monica Hafer has met with the developers at Starbreeze and learned of the progress of this anticipated title.
game: Superman Returns
preview | 05/20/06 | Matt James
Superman may be one of the top superheroes in the superheroing business, but in videogames he has a spotty record at best. However, EA and their Tiburon studio is set to return the Man of Steel to glory (and, coincidentally tie-in with the latest Superman film, which, you know, out to bode well, right?). With some definitely next-gen visuals, Superman looks pretty, but can he back up his sexy little spit curl with a solid game experience? Matt James takes a look at Superman returns, and manages to avoid making a single joke about Superman 64. Amazing! Get the full preview here.
game: Rumble Roses XX
review | 05/15/06 | Tristan Mayshark
There aren't a lot of choices for wrestling games on the Xbox 360 right now, and it would be debatable to claim that Rumble Roses XX fills the niche to the exclusion of other attempts. Rumble Roses is to booty what the DOA series is to chesty-ness. If the previous sentence makes sense in a positive way, then Rumble Roses is probably for you. But if it seems a bit "pervy" to play games where a primary focus is ogling the animated characters in a sexual way, then you might want to be satisfied merely reading Tristan's review. Check it out here.
review | 03/02/06 | Tristan Mayshark
The time of console transition can be difficult, especially when it seems so clear that there is still life left in the current generation. Great proof of that untapped potential comes in the form of Black, out now from developer Criterion and Electronic Arts. Black arrives at the end of the current generation, but still delivers overwhelming graphics, sexy firearms, big explosions, and bigger explosions. But is shrapnel and pretty lighting effects enough to make gamers go for an FPS with no multiplayer? Check Tristan's review for the verdict.
game: LoveChess: Age of Egypt
review | 02/14/06 | George Holomshek
Happy Valentine's Day, dear readers. From deep within the GF! Office of Love and Videogames, we are pleased to bring you George's latest research, a review of LoveChess: Age of Egypt, the sequel to Dutch developer Artmunk's LoveChess: The Greek Era. The multiplayer here is unlikely to inspire extended sessions of sultry romance, but it's at least a brief diversion from watching Skinamax while playing Fritz 9. Get the full story here.
And be warned: George's review is remarkably clean, but LoveChess features depictions of sex, and the screenshots are most likely not safe for work. (Unless you work at Artmunk.)
game: Lula 3D
preview | 02/08/06 | George Holomshek
Lula 3D is an early release in the coming wave of adult-oriented semi-mainstream games. Featuring a wacky adventure story and gameplay, not unlike the Leisure Suit Larry series, Lula 3D put gamers in the role of Lula, a porn director who must solve the mystery of her missing stars. Follow Lula on a trail of clues that will have her traversing America in search of porn stars and lewd humor. George is on top of this one, so to speak, and offers up this complete preview.

The Sex in Video Games Conference will be held in San Francisco June 8-9 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center, San Francisco, CA. The conference theme is "Exploring the Business of Digital Erotic Entertainment," which sounds totally not sexy to us. But the conference gains clout thanks to the involvement of Brenda Brathwaite, Game Designer and Founder and Chair of the International Game Developers Association's Sexuality SIG. If you've got a vested (read: business) interest in the future of adult erotic interactive entertainment, then this is the place to go. It should be more scandalous than E3.

Last week we published the first part of Shawn's in-depth look at the twisted world of Sociolotron. Billed as the ultimate adult MMORPG, Sociolotron features unprecedented levels of player freedom and sexual gameplay. But Shawn found that, much like novels by the Marquis de Sade, the bizarro sex quickly becomes banal and the real meat of the game lies in the ways players build their characters and live out alternative lives within the game. In Part Two of his feature, Shawn talks to senior citizen male prostitutes, lesbian lovers, and a wheelchair-bound mafioso who commands four in-game sex slaves. He also talks to Patrick Lagny, who has created Sociolotron almost single-handedly, about what motivates him to make such a game.
Needless to say, this article features explicit language and frank descriptions of adult and sexual themes. Reader discretion is advised.

We published Shawn's preview of Sociolotron a year ago. Sociolotron is an adults-only RPG that plunges players into an anything-goes world of post-apocalyptic London. Sex, drugs, and occult rituals play prominent roles in the world, as does free agency, community service, and player-based self-governance. A year ago the game was in beta testing, and since coming out in a final version a few months ago Sociolotron has seen some refinement and enhancements, but remained essentially the same game, heavy on role-playing of all sorts. Rather than a review of Sociolotron, Shawn revisited the game and its players to take a closer look at the phenomenon that is Sociolotron in a two part series. This week we present the first portion, and next Monday we'll post the conclusion.
Please note: This article is not for the feint of heart or impressionable youths. Remember, Sociolotron is rigorously policed and not available for underage players.

The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) has created a Special Interest Group to investigate the issue of "sex in games." They've gotten a handful of developers with an interest in the topic together, and they're investigating issues developers are currently facing. Sounds useful at the start, but Ian Bogost, noteworthy gaming journalist, has posted a critique of the effort on Watercooler Games that has us nodding our heads.

From the Hot Coffee modification in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to spy toys you can pick up at Wal-Mart, this has been a fairly busy week. In the midst of all that controversy about sex
and violence in video games, there's nothing better than shooting things with a sniper rifle. Check out this week's twoplayer game comic, C.O.D.
Twoplayer comic is published every Sunday at http://comics.gamesfirst.com

Sociolotron is an MMORPG that allows players to do the things other MMORPGs don't; rape, STDs, pregnancy, cult sacrifice and lots more await the user in the wilds of post-apocalyptic London. WARNING: This preview (and game) features explicit content and sexual depictions and is not intended for minors.
