game: Undertow
review | 12/05/07 | Chris Martin
Undertow is what Xbox Live Arcade needs more of: a simple premise with perfect execution and excellent multiplayer through Live. Play with up to 16 players through Live or split-screen locally or System Link. Or just add bots. Capture the spawn-points to reduce the enemy\'s \"tickets\" or lives to zero. An absolutely simple, stunning game with deep combat and strategy, Undertow is a testament to the greatness developers can achieve in such a small package.
game: Gears of War
editorial | 12/07/06 | Chris Martin
Microsoft\'s Gears of War gets lots of things right. It offers an intense single/co-op campaign, a \"sweet-spot\" versus multiplayer of 4v4, and some of the best presentation ever in a videogame. But it also fumbles here and there in ways we would have liked to see ironed out. In this editorial, we analyze what we would love to see kept or improved on in the sequel.
game: Bomberman: Act Zero
review | 12/07/06 | Sean Hilliard
We sent our resident cheeky strategy freak Sean to get the story on Bomberman: Act Zero. After the fiasco that was F.E.A.R. Extraction Point we thought that everyone\'s favorite neighborhood explosives expert would be a nice change of pace. Boy, were we wrong! Not only has the new Bomberman been stripped of his best classic gameplay, it\'s been replaced by a semi-FPS element that simply makes it hard to see. Add in 99 uninspired levels and no ability to save, and you\'ll soon mourn Bomberman of old. Check out Sean\'s write-up to see why.
game: Gears of War
editorial | 11/12/06 | Chris Martin
Foot in the mouth? That\'s what we\'re thinking. When Alain Tascan, General Manager for EA Montreal, stated that Gears of War has \"zero innovation,\" we guess that soon after he was either munching on a big bowl of \"his own words\" or the rubber of a Doc Marten. Either way: here\'s our take.
game: Fatal Inertia
news | 09/22/06 | Chris Martin
Screenshots of Playstation 3 games continue to suggest that publishers are trying to take full advantage the PS3\'s power. Yesterday, publisher Koei released a bunch of new screenshots for Fatal Inertia, their futuristic hover racer that looks vaguely reminiscent of both F-Zero and the pod racing from Star Wars. Its gameplay emphasizes the use of physics as a tool to win races, but Fatal Inertia\'s graphics engine is evidently looking pretty good too. You can see that from the new screens.

game: Xbox 360
news | 12/24/05 | Shawn Rider
OpenXbox360 has posted a link to a YouTube video that supposedly shows a regular, retail version of the Xbox 360 playing an unsigned, burned copy of Perfect Dark Zero by using a hack that involved running some program on the PSP. No details about the hack or methods involved are known so far, and the video could easily be a fake. But it\'s a slow news day here on Xmas Eve, and it\'s a curious video. Check out the video for yourself, as well as the post on OpenXbox360, and keep an eye on this as the story develops.

game: Perfect Dark Zero
review | 11/23/05 | Jeremy Kauffman
Joanna Dark finally makes her return on the Xbox 360 in the long awaited prequel, Perfect Dark Zero. Joanna is younger, hipper and has a few new tricks up her sleeve, but she also has a serious sophomore hill to climb: Perfect Dark was one of the genre-defining console FPS games on the N64 and gained a dedicated following. And in the new generation, comparisons to Halo are inevitable. Can PDZ manage to satisfy both the old school N64 fans and those expecting a next-generation marvel? Read and see.

game: Perfect Dark Zero
news | 10/05/05 | Shawn Rider
Microsoft has been holding out on pretty much all info about Perfect Dark Zero. So here we are: Finally we\'ve got a load of new screens to share, fresh out of Amsterdam where Microsoft hosts its annual European Xbox showcase. Check out the latest shots here.
game: Perfect Dark Zero
news | 09/30/05 | Shawn Rider
Perfect Dark Zero has so far been one of the most enigmatic Xbox 360 launch titles. After showing us glimpses of 50 player multiplayer on their MTV Xbox 360 unveiling, we expected to see PDZ at E3. But it wasn\'t there. It was at Tokyo Game Show, and we recently posted some links to some shakey-cam footage of PDZ gameplay which has us all debating the relative greatness potential for the game. Details are still slow to come out about Perfect Dark Zero, but we have one screen and an MP3 of one of the music tracks from the game to pass on.

news | 09/26/05 | Aaron Stanton
We\'re just about two months from the release of the Xbox 360, and it\'s recommended that you consider pre-ordering a system if you\'re expecting to pick one up. But what game should you pre-order? What\'s going to be that Killer App that will do for the 360 what Halo did for the original Box? There\'s been a lot of speculation that Microsoft is putting time and effort into making Perfect Dark Zero the title that will drive the Xbox 360 off shelves. Whether or not the rumor is true, we have no way of telling. However, if you\'re hungry for some video of the Xbox 360 in action, here they are, apparently captured on the sly with a camcorder. Perfect Dark Zero gameplay.

game: Zero Gravity Zone
review | 12/09/03 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
When it comes to the GBA, Gamesfirst reviewer Jason Frank is a living legend. Some people say he was born with a GBA in his hand. Many say he won his GBA atop Mt. Olympus in an oiled-up, blindfolded submission wrestling match with Zeus. Others say he got it at Target. All I know is that he takes on Rocket Power: Zero Gravity Zone, the latest in GBA skateboarding, right here right now. Click here to watch the master work.
