Click to read.Reggie Fils-Aime, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nintendo of America, likes to make huge claims, like comparing the sales of a handheld to the sales of a home console. Still, when it comes charisma, Reg has it in spades.

In an interview with News.com he had quite a bit to say including \"the next-generation console from Nintendo, code-named Revolution, will cost less than $300\" confirming what Nintendo President Satoru Iwata had hinted at earlier this month.

FIls-Aime discussed the \"resolutions\" Nintendo plans to make here in 2006. \"The first [resolution] is keeping our eyes on the prize,\" he said. \"This industry is about entertainment, and in the end, he with the best games wins. So at Nintendo, we\'re focused on putting the most entertaining products into the marketplace.\"

\"The second resolution is keeping the mass in the mass audience.\" Fils-Aime mentioned stopping segregating gamers with expensive hardware and products. Combined with their third resolution to \"stop turning away new players\" Nintendo seemed to aim their Revolution system at the gaming proletariat.

Their fourth \"is to turn game development into a democracy of great ideas,\" said Fils-Aime. \"Just as the cost of systems seems to be getting out of reach for everyday consumers, the cost of game development is getting out of reach for game publishers. The Revolution will be more affordable for game developers to create for, and that will result in fantastically innovative content.\"

We\'ll have to see later when we have more details on the Revolution, but Reggie feels very confident in the Nintendo to come.
