  • Crave Entertainment announced today that Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 will be coming to Sega Dreamcast console in Q4 of 2000. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, a top 10 Dreamcast launch title, TXR2 possesses beautiful graphics, intense head-to-head competition and a fantastic array of cars.

So what’s new you ask" Plenty - Get ready for the real life underground racing of Japan complete with new cars, additional highways, an improved physics engine and hundreds of new opponents. With over six times the amount of highway, four times as many parts and twice times the number of cars, TXR2 is an adrenaline rush that takes the player to the heart of Tokyo’s racing scene.

“Coming off all the buzz from the Tokyo Game Show, we’re excited about TXR2 with

its additional 31 cars and added game play modes,” said Martin Spiess, Senior

enhance what has already proven to be a heart pumping racing experience.”

Over 100 miles of authentic Tokyo highway are all accurately mapped, interconnected and feature working entrance and exit ramps. The game features seven different play modes including; Quest, Quick, Free Run, Time Attack and Auto Cross. The Quest mode features “Battle Naming System” (BNS), where the computer assigns you a nickname based on your battle time, top speed, top cornering speed, number of collisions and enemy blocking ratio.
