For those of you with an ear to the floor, you might have noticed the rumblings of major Nintendo movement. There's been a lot of speculation about the possibility that Nintendo will fully unveil the Revolution's revolutionary side come September 16th, 2005 at the Tokyo Game Show. If it happens, it will come during the keynote address, when Nintendo President Satoru Iwata will address an eager crowd of game journalists and gaming enthusiasts. Wouldn't that be exciting"
If the details of Nintendo's tremendously hyped controller do actually make it to the public this month, it will put an end to what has become a favorite hobby for many in the gaming community: Revolution controller mock-ups. Fans around the Internet have been creating and distributing concept art and photos of their versions of what the controller could look like since what seems like the beginning of time. That means about 1985.
If you're curious about what the Internet fans have managed to cough up, Joystiq.com has a rather amusing article that goes over the different user submitted mock-ups.
Even if we don't see the actual Nintendo controller here in less than two weeks, Nintendo is expected to show off actual screenshots from the Revolution system, which will finally give gamers an idea of what to expect.
Will all this really happen" We can hope.
