According to NGC Magazine, and reported by Game Daily, the upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Twilight Princess, will be playable with the Nintendo Revolution controller. This news has not been confirmed by Nintendo, and Twilight Princess will still be officially released for the Gamecube. According to Games Radar, the online affiliate of NGC Magazine (a print magazine published in the UK, US, and Japan), Twilight Princess will support a radical new control style if played on the Nintendo Revolution console with its unique controller.

GamesFirst! has already speculated about what the new Revolution controller could mean for the Legend of Zelda series in an editorial by George Holomshek. If even a portion of this speculation is realized when playing Twilight Princess on the Revolution, then Zelda fans are certainly in for a treat. Although it has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo themselves, this news warrants close attention.

In addition to the news about the new Zelda game, NGC Magazine has confirmed from Nintendo that the Revolution console will release in the UK in late 2006. Conventional wisdom places a US launch sometime during the Fall of 2006, which would correlate well with the NGC Magazine reports.
