September 12, 2003

Three years after breathing life into the Dreamcast, Namco Launches a sequel to the legendary Soul Calibur. Is it as good as the original? Nope-it's a whole lot better. Stunning graphics, beautiful environments, varied gameplay and surprising depth are just a few of the reasons that make this the best fighter on the market-no matter what system you have. Click here for the whole review.

Brute Force Review (DVD)

After months of hype, Digital Anvil’s Brute Force arrives on the XBox. But is it everything it's supposed to be? Not quite. Questionable teamwork, glaring holes in multiplayer modes, and some gameplay issues keep Brute Force from being the game we hoped for. Click here for the whole discussion.

BioWare's latest foray into the console market has been a resounding success. Midnight Club 2 Review (PC)

August 26, 2003

Rockstar has busted it out on all platforms, and Midnight Club 2 is satisfying gamers all over the world now. After stellar console releases, the PC version of the game is just as good, if not even prettier on high end systems. Anyone who enjoys racing needs to check this out. Click here for the review.

Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb Review (PS2)

Good old Indy is back at it, this time on the PS2. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is a great action title for fans of the Indiana Jones mythology, but not necessarily as great for fans of innovative, invigorating action games. Too bad. Click for more.

Simpsons Road Rage Review (GBA)

The Simpsons' famous Crazy Taxi ripoff comes to the GBA, but Simpsons Road Rage is not as good as we hoped for. Sure, the action is all there, but without the witty dialogue and sweet graphics, this one loses some of its appeal. Read the whole review here.

Drome Racers Review (GBA)

What can we say about Drome Racers? It's a racing game. And it's apparently set in a bleak world of flatly rendered polygons -- spooky! This racer is technically not bad, but it lacks the personality to make it one of our faves. Click for more.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Wrath of the Darkhul King Review (GBA)

Our favorite teeny-bopper vampire hunter is back for more in handheld form. Unfortunately, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Wrath of the Darkhul King won't erase your bad memories of the original Buffy GBC title. The graphics are better, but this title is still thoroughly at-par. Click here for more.
