Dragon
Ball Z: Budokai Review (GameCube) |
Dragon
Ball Z fans will be more than happy to see Dragon Ball Z: Budokai arrive
on the Gamecube, as it successfully powers its way into mediocrity, thus
becoming the greatest Dragon Ball Z game in history. Its not for
everybody, but if you love the characters you will love the game.

Grabbed
by the Ghoulies Review (XBox)) |
The
wizards at Rare are easily one of the most beloved development studios
around. Long the secret behind some of Nintendos best games, Rare has a
new home and theyre starting to get their Xbox groove on. Grabbed by
the Ghoulies is a bit too simple to be a hit for those looking for the
Perfect Dark experience, but it will probably fare better with the
kiddies and will no doubt find its way into a stocking or two.

Rocket
Power: Zero Gravity Zone Review (GBA) |
When
it comes to the GBA, Gamesfirst reviewer Jason Frank is a living legend.
Some people say he was born with a GBA in his hand. Many say he won his
GBA atop Mt. Olympus in an oiled-up, blindfolded submission wrestling
match with Zeus. Others say he got it at Target. All I know is that he
takes on Rocket Power: Zero Gravity Zone, the latest in GBA
skateboarding, right here right now.

surprisingly fun gameplay thats easy enough for the younger crew to
enjoy while still remaining fun for adults. Does it belong under your

Batman:
The Rise of Sin Tzu Review (XBox) |
December
7,
2003 |
Batman:
Rise of Sin Tzu is something of a milestone for fans of the super hero;
it marks the first time a Batman character makes his debut in a
videogame, as Ubi Soft gives fans some beat-em up action Batman style.
But while the Dark Knight fares well against the villain Sin Tzu, he
gets a serious beatdown from the arch-nemesis of all videogame comic
heroes: The super-villain known as Monotonous Gameplay.

Max Payne
2 Review (Xbox, PS2) |
Console
gamers had to exercise a little patience when PC gamers were the first
to get their hands on Max Payne 2, but the wait is over. Max is back,
and this time he has company to liven things up a bit. Max is wasting
bad guys and dodging bullets better than ever via the bullet time
ballet, but the high point here is the superbly crafted narrative.
Gamesfirst! editor Shawn Rider
delves the depths of Max Payne 2, and the story begins right here.

Monster
Truck Madness Review (GBA) |
THQ
is looking to bring a little racing action to your GBA, and Monster
Truck Madness is a surprisingly fun title. Dont look for any
breathtaking innovation, but
if youre looking to fire
up some Monster Trucks kart-racer style, read here first. |
Nosferatu:
The Wrath of Malachi Review (PC) |
Chances
are good that youre a little tired of the sci-fi warrior waxes
alien/demon/mutant FPS routine (but youve saved a space for Halo 2 of
course). Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi looks to add a little fear into
your gaming environment, via creepy visuals, haunting soundtrack, and a
goodly dose of the undead. Whats more, you can sport a musket loader,
cup of holy water, a trusty wooden stake, and more.
If your holiday season needs more
undead, click right here.

Power
Rangers: Ninja Storm Review (GBA) |
Cant
wait for the next Power Rangers GBA title? Not likely, and to tell you
the truth we have trouble telling them apart anyway. On the upside, if
youre five you probably wont hate it.
Our GBA expert delivers a
lightning fast, ninja-like spinning backfist to the Power Rangers right
here. |
Return of
the King Review (PC, XBox) |
EAs
highly successful The Two Towers drew high praise from gamers for its
cinematic drama and hack and slash action. It wasnt the most innovative
treatment of the Tolkien classic, but it sure was fun to be a part of.
The latest installment, Return of the King, looks to improve on that
success, offering more characters, more cinematic feel, and best of all,
multiplayer co-op. But can more hack and slash satisfy a Lord of the
Rings enthusiast? With a single
click, your quest for knowledge begins right here. |
Scooby
Doo: Mystery Mayhem Review (GBA) |
Sometimes
a well known name is all it takes to sell a game, so not enough work
goes in to the game itself. Enter Scooby Doo: Mystery Mayhem, as Scooby
and the gang try to score as much loot from gamers pockets as they
possibly can--and they would have gotten away with it too, if it hadnt
have been for that pesky reviewer Jason Frank.
Read here to unmask the
mystery of Scooby Doo: Mystery Mayhem. |
